and it’s still raining
Yes folks, it is still raining. It has rained every single day since my last post, and we are supposed to get more rain into next week. Today, things got a bit more exciting. We were under a Black Storm Cloud advisory. According to my information line, aka my friend Beth, that’s worthy of attention. Things shut down, events are canceled, taxis, buses, etc don’t run, everyone is advised to seek safe shelter and stay there. The weather was incredible!! Lots of thunder and lightning, (or sunder and lightming, as L says) black clouds, wind, heavy, heavy rain…joy. Our pool area flooded, along with the car park area. The ground floor apartment got damp, despite the sandbags at all the doors. The girls and Daddy went out and got some great videos. We are working on getting them online so you can all see I’m not making this stuff up. I’ll keep you posted.
Thank you to those that wished me Happy Birthday in the comments from my last post. It was nice to be remembered. I spent the actual day doing mundane things, but the day before found me with my friend Beth, getting a 45 minute foot massage (not a big fan) and then high tea at the Marriott. (Just for grins, google the Marriott in Hong Kong and click on high tea or the lounge area. You can see what it looked like). It was lovely and I felt like a grown up. Thanks again, Beth!!

WOW!!! High tea at the Marriott! It looks very nice!
I LOOOOVVVE tea….
I’ll be right over!
I know you’re living space is limited, so if we ever came to visit, I guess we could manage to bring ourselves to stay at the Marriott. Hee hee
By the way - stumbled upon your blog somehow about a week ago…can’t believe I’ve been missing out all this time! Fun…enjoyed seeing the videos of the tea cups, and Miss L., you DO rock on the swing!! Mrs. Rose says so!

So THAT is where the rain clouds are stationed. We haven’t seen so much as a sprinkle here in over 2 weeks. 90’s, hot and HUMID. (Think August in Nashville.. that is what we are experiencing in June.. ugh).
And a flooded cark park? I do hope you car will still start. *giggle*

It will stop raining now. Cause I just broke down and bought a pair of Crocs to wear in the rain.

I KNEW your birthday was coming up. And being the good frien I am I never put it on my calender.
It is a pretty calender though.
A limerick in honor of ** years:
There once was a girl named Deanne
Who left her small town for Siam
(hey, it’s in Asia and it rhymes better than Hong Kong)
It poured and it poured
Til’ it poured no more
That poor soggy girl, Deanne
Many happy return of the day!
Lots of love and mush (be sure to spread it around amongst your crew),
Jennifer
