a fun afternoon

We ventured out on our own today to meet up with a family at a park for a picnic and some hard play time. It’s so hard to get that kind of exercise and playtime when you live in an apartment. L (the leader of the moms group I attend) has four children, very close in age to mine, and all the same gender as mine, so they pair off quite nicely. The oldest four girls are building friendships and it does this Mama’s heart good to see. It was also fun for me to sit with another woman and just chat about life in HKG. She’s a wonderful resource for me since she has four children and also homeschools. I was able to ask her so many things and got some great advice. She’s also a sweet southern lady with a quiet spirit so it’s calming and enjoyable just to chat with her. Today was really a blessing, and a little bit of “almost normal”.  Thank you God.  Smile

It’s great to hear that the girls are making friends. That should help a little with homesickness and missing of others. God is so wonderfull, 4 kids same age for them to play with.

    Hi Deanne,
I had a wonderful read of all your adventures. Also had a chat with Martha on her birthday, actually the day after…..but it was good anyway. She said that you were having a week without J. And so prayers were wanted. You got them! Even now as I type, I’m knowing God is blessing you. Sounds as if you and the tribe are having fun…may it continue to be so.
    Many {{{hugs}}} Sandy and Ray

I know it isn’t by accident or coincidence this family was “waiting” for you in HKG! Isn’t that just like God! And the McD’s receipt! You know you could have been entertaining an angel!!! He continues to provide confirmation that HE went before you!
