We don't have a tree either! You remember that's by choice, right? I write that to prove that you WILL survive and can celebrate CHRISTmas without one. Go to the LL Bean site and you can see a picture anytime. lol Thanks for sharing the struggles as well as the fun stuff! Tell D to say to Douglas from Officer B. That'll make him smile I bet.
You missed about 50 people in church and about 5 hours of plowing/shoveling/being wet today, so now I'm sure you're thankful it's warm enough for those creepy critters.
Love you all!

EWWW!! Cockroaches are the worst. Lizards aren't too bad though. I think that is so cute about the kids and their plants. We are currently having HUGE snow storm so I am jealous of the shorts.

Take care and Merry Christmas!!

Thank you for sending us your blog! It brings you all a little closer. What an adventure you're having! We will check your site often and remember you in our prayers. We are in the middle of a huge snowstorm, but it won't stop us from watching the Patriots later! Merry Christmas as you celebrate Christ's love in a very new place. Isn't it nice knowing that the Lord knows all about you and what you're facing this very moment!

Love,
Pam

O-o-o-o, don't KILL the insects and lizards. In HKG, they EAT them! (Try some of that on your pizza someday.) See this link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwLLymJYb5Q
Ah, life in the tropics reveals an amazing diversity of creatures, critters and customs. An old song says: "Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the noonday sun." I see the HKG-ers have adjusted their daily schedules to their climate. Are the cockroaches bigger than the ones in Texas? Don't worry, I'm told they do most of their mischief during the night hours -- ha-ha-ha-ha. "Hi" to all. Stormy here today, Nor'easter (neither lizard nor cockroach-friendly). Sounds like a paradise for bug-and-critter-collecting R.

I gotta admit, I envy your lizards! The cockroaches I could do without, but we just don't get lizards in these here parts. (sigh)
What are the chances of a couple of them critters hitching a ride in your carry-on luggage when you come back to visit? I'd like two of each kind, male and female. I could start a colony to join the one Brett and I started 16 years ago. :-)
