Yes, we arrived safely. Things went so smoothly that only a God who can control every detail could have pulled it off.
I’m a bit fuzzy headed and don’t have it in me to post a real long entry, but that’s coming, I promise. I’ve been making notes so I wouldn’t forget things. For now, here are some fun facts…
- You can fall asleep while putting your shoes on. Just ask little D.
- C. Libby is a godsend to us and I plan to beg her to stay with us. Sorry Pam, she’s not coming home.

- We (me, C, R and B) successfully made it home on a mini bus, without daddy holding our hands.
- You can also fall asleep waiting for your e-mail to load. Just ask Daddy.
- All the Robertson family is fighting colds and “junk”. Miss L has the worst of it, and has a croupy cough. Lots of barking going on.

- The children all love the flat, their beds and their rooms. Yippeeeee!

- I forgot stuff.
- I packed too much stuff.
- I never want to move like this again, realizing I will have to do it again in order to get back at some point, and dreading it already.
- Jet lag is a killer. UGH.
- The staring started as soon as we landed in HKG. We had to stand in monstrous lines for immigration, weaving through the ropes. People openly stared at us….that’s not considered as rude here as in the states. It was a bit freaky. They are just so curious and fascinated with FOUR children and all those blue eyes. We are a witness whether we want to be or not!
- We made our first trip to the grocery store (me and the girls), bought about 20 items (we did have to carry it home, you know!) and I spent over $300 HKD (Hong Kong dollars). That’s only 35 dollars or so, but it was startling to see a total that large.

I will be posting more as I have a chance. Stay tuned for the crazy tales of the Robertson’s in HKG!

I am so thankful you made it. I’ve been praying for you every few hours since the 27th wondering where you were on the journey. God is so good! I knew he would give you a safe trip and assure you once again that “He is With you Wherever You Go!”. (COL is that the abbreviation for crying out loud!) I am so proud of you guys and I love you all! I can’t imagine spending Christmas in HKG but I pray that you will experience the true meaning of Emmanuel–God With US this season! Post your mailing address when you can!
PS: Who is C Libby?

Praise the Lord!!! I was so excited to read your update. I wasn’t totally sure when you would actually arrive. Gee, you’ve arrived and already been on a mini bus and been shopping! Life just keeps moving on, doesn’t it? It just occurred to me how great technology is these days. If you were Laura Ingalls Wilder, I’d probably never hear from you again. Thank you God for computers and such! Can’t wait to hear about all of your adventures (and maybe some misadventures!)! Still praying for you all.

Good! Miss you all. Recover quickly. May God continue to bless and be with you in such special ways. Love to all. Your “in-country” cellar-dweller and semisubterranian septuagenarian, Fred.
