Robertson Tribe Updates

Hubby has been gone since September 23rd. Frankly, it has gotten old and we still have many weeks until he’s home.

We aren’t communicating well because we have no reference point or common background right now. I never realized how important that was. He’s living his life in HKG and I’m living mine here and the two aren’t intersecting. In order to talk about things, we need to back way up and fill in the background. Hubby isn’t doing too well with that. Then irritation sets in when I don’t give him the answers he’s looking for and I get annoyed that he’s irritated with me. I have to approach our calls with a list of things to talk to him about or I forget, so our calls are reduced to checklists, with no sharing of our lives. God did not create marriage to be this way, and this move can not come soon enough!
