fun stuff

Hubby has been busy and very productive while he’s been away. As of this weekend, I now have a fridge, washer, dryer, mixer, toaster oven, microwave and <<insert big drumroll here>> a dishwasher! Those aren’t all that common in HKG, and I was prepared to live without one, so it was a wonderful surprise. Because of the expert negotiation skills of our landlady, Mrs. Tong, he was able to get great prices on everything, which helps our budget stretch.

We also have phone, gas and electricity. Cable and internet are still on the list of things to get (very important! Wink), as well as beds, a table, something to sit on and some various kitchen things that we aren’t taking like dishes, cups, silverware, etc.

He was also able to visit another church with some friends and have some time visiting with them. It was a nice break. They were all able to go to lunch and J showed them our new apartment. They were impressed with all the space, and we were once again reminded that our housing was truly a God thing. We were so blessed to find it, and we got a nice landlady too! Smile
