he called (finally)

J has been traveling the past few days, so we haven’t been able to chat in the mornings. I’ve been feeling very disconnected, but we finally got to chat this morning. He has gone from Hong Kong to Ning Bo (sp?) and then on to Shanghai to meet with a customer and also to interview some potential field service reps. That sounds promising as far as his company moving ahead with this move.

On the home front, we did battle with a trash can yesterday while out running errands. The big dump truck in front of us blew some empty trash cans into the road as it went by, causing them to blow in front of me. There was a car coming the other way (of course!) so we couldn’t swerve. SMACK! CRASH!! We won the skirmish, but Moby Dick (the great white whale van) has some battle scars (minor) from it all. Ugh.EmbarassedFrown

I was turning on the computer this morning and making sure I was ready should J try to call. I thought all the kids were upstairs getting dressed so when I heard a horrendous crash in the living room, I couldn’t figure out what had happened. I headed in there to investigate and heard someone crying. I found my son trapped under our ancient, monstrous, heavy television!! Surprised Visions of my cousin J pulling a television down on himself as a toddler and breaking his leg flooded in to my mind and I promptly checked D all over. He’s fine, but I’m not so sure about our already ailing television. At this point, I can’t even lift the television back into position unless I get some help. Did I mention this thing weighs a ton?! So, it sits on the floor in my living room until some unsuspecting person shows up for a visit and I recruit them to help me. Wink  And you know who called in the midst of all this…yup, Daddy.  Just as David is screaming I heard the computer chirping.  What timing….Undecided

Life is rarely dull in house with four children under 8! Laughing
