news from Hong Kong

The day started off with J having to relocate to a different hotel because their hotel was completely booked. It wasn’t too big of deal, and the new hotel has a better internet connection so it was worth any hassle. I could really tell a difference when we were chatting this morning via the computer.

He spent his morning having breakfast with two families (both Christians), gathering tons of information. One family has three children and they homeschool. They used to be on the mission field in Lebanon and Syria, but now M (the dad) is in the work force in Hong Kong as a marine biologist. The other family had 5 boys and they also homeschool. They are actually on staff with the Navigators!

He really connected with the Templeton family (the family of 5) and his wife gave him all sorts of information to bring home to me. She has offered to correspond with me and they would both love to help us in our transition. God is good!  Smile

In fact, as I type this entry, J is attending church with the Templetons. He’s worshipping with believers on the other side of the world….how great is our God?!!!!!! Smile

He also checked out the YMCA in Hong Kong and said he has never seen such a beautiful YMCA! I checked it out online and it does look amazing. Here, you can check for yourself… http://www.ymcahk.org.hk/general_new_e/

On the home front, today was R’s birthday party with her friends. She had a fantastic time and it went so smoothly! The house looked amazing after C put up all the decorations. The girls all made their own bears and then created matching jewelry for them and their bear. The girls got along well and it was actually rather low key…just the right speed for this Mama. Two thumbs up!
