Robertson family update

I keep forgetting this blog until someone sends me an e-mail that says, “Hey, are you alive up there in Maine, or what?”?! Then I realize that it’s been weeks since I informed you that yes, indeed, we are still alive. Smile

J has been traveling quite a bit, which makes life challenging around here. Of course, we are thankful he have a job and I am in no way complaining; just updating. Wink The whole China “thing” has been put on hold for now yet we really feel that God wants us to live abroad, so we’re not sure what is in store. We’re just waiting for things to unfold.

School is in full swing, and the girls are enjoying the new curriculum. I’m not, but I don’t count. Smile We’re getting into a groove, and things are going well.

R is preparing for phase one of orthodontic treatment. The poor girl got Daddy’s teeth (large) and Mommy’s mouth (tiny) and we are looking at palette expanders, head gear, and braces down the road. Yay. Ironically, every single issue she has with her mouth and jaws are ones that I had growing up. I’m just praying we’ve gotten her started with treatment early enough to avoid some of the horrors I endured. Frown

B lost her first tooth and feels like a big girl now. The funny thing is she didn’t even realize it had happened. It was R that looked across the table and told her to smile. B did, but her lips covered her bottom teeth. R said, “No, BIGGER!” B was thrilled and immediately started looking all around for her tooth; which of course she had swallowed! Laughing

D had a check up with his pediatric cardiologist today. His heart is operating at 100%! Wahoo and praise the Lord! He has gained two pounds and grown two inches since surgery, which is another big praise. His slow weight gain and growth was something that initially threw up red flags and led to his diagnosis so long ago, so it brought tears to my eyes to know he is already catching up. God’s creation is AMAZING!

L had turned into a little chatterbox, adding new words and phrases to her vocabulary every few hours it seems. Smile We can tell she has older siblings because she is learning at an incredible rate. She has a sweet personality and is so easy going that having four kids is a breeze! Wink
