we’re out of SCU!!!

We were moved to a room in pediatrics in the early evening on Thursday. David was leery of another change, but once we settled in, he really liked it. We have an amazing view of the city and can watch Portland Seadogs baseball games from our window! The pediatrics floor is incredible, and we are really enjoying the “ammenities”.

David’s chest tube is out now (what a horrible event that was!!), along with his iv which just leaves a heart monitor. We are able to unhook him for periods of time and stroll around the floor, stopping in the playroom to give Thomas the Tank Engine a spin around the track, check out a video, play with Legos, ride on the various toys, etc and head back to the room to watch the video. What a life! He has a great appetite, and is up and about for parts of the day. It’s hard to believe he just had major surgery two days ago!!
