mission accomplished

We survived the longest day of my life, and David is doing well. What a little trooper he is!! The surgery was text book, and they were done in less than three hours! He is doing amazingly well, in spite of all the tubes, monitors and other irritations. He is struggling some with the pain/discomfort, but they are working with us to find the right combination of drugs. The staff keeps assuring us that tomorrow will show a big improvement, so we’re looking forward to that. If he is doing well enough to remove the chest tube (and some other things), they will move him to the regular pediatric floor and he can have some visitors which will make some grandparents and extended family happy.

How’s Mama doing? Pretty well, all things considered! I’ve had amazing peace today which could only come from God and the prayers of many, many precious friend and family. A big thank you to each and every one!

Today started early (big yawn) so I’m heading to bed. I’ll do my best to post here as I’m able, so keep checking back for updates.
